After purchasing AVG anti-virus for the house, the XP computer has had no problems nor until 3 days ago did the W98.However recently whenever I try to access the'net via Firefox,my preferred browser I get the following message in an error box on the W98 PC

The program must close to allow previous installation attempt to complete. Please restart

Restarting doesn't help and Task manager shows no other programs "non responding"
I contacted AVG who asked me to recheck for viruses which show no viruses.I have no problem with accessing via IE

Uninstall Firefox, download and save a new file for Firefox

Download and save a new copy of AVG then uninstall AVG

Download and install Avast

http://www.filehippo...vast_antivirus/

Install Firefox

Check it

Disable Avast, install AVG then check Firefox

Uninstall AVG if it still will not run with Firefox

Do not run two installed AV programmes together
