I have Windows Media Player 10. It has not been play .mpg files online saying it doesn't have the codec needed. The files are regular mpg files. I suspect an issue with media player. How can I upgrade/repair it so this doesn't happen. When trying to go to the url media player says it needs to close since it doesn't have the codec needed to play the file.

what version do you have?

And do you have the video code? http://www.divx.com

And have you tried other media players such as winamp or Media Player Classic?
