I just got a game call Call of Duty 2 and it kept saying video card or driver doesn't support alpha blending.

I know that you guys talked about this already but it didnt seem quite clear to me where to go or what to download.

I tried looking for some drivers and stuff but it just made me download stuff for the stuff that I need and so on...

Im confused I really need some advice or help here. :tazz: :)

Reply this message as soon as possible. :)

PS: I already downloaded DirectX 9.0 and it didnt work then noticed something in the window that recorded stuff and what the problem is (which is the alpha blending...etc.) in the game...Something to do with Direct3D 9...is there a difference between DirectX and Direct3D? Just wondering...

Hello Canada4eva and welcome to Geeks to Go!

What are your system specs?

The easiest way to find out would be for you to download and run Belarc Advisor. Belarc will then analyse your hardware and display a report. Post the general specs here.

Just post up the report, but if its TNT2 its not supported by the game, read the pinned topic. If its integrated it isnt going to work.

What, run this http://www.alexnolan...are/sysspec.htm and it will tell you what gfx card you have, you can then check it on the list of supported cards we have pinned in this forum.

Hello, Canada4eva

Your video card is not supported by the game requirements at all. It will NOT be able to play the game. If you dont have an agp slot or pci express then I recommend upgrading your whole pc. If you just have a pci slot I dont really think its worth it but a fx 5500 regular pci slot card will play it decent.

If you can find a PCI 5500 post it up here those things a rarer than hens teeth these days and it would be good to know if anywhere has them in stock.

You guys need to make your own topics please. It is hard to follow 3-4 different people in the same thread.

Then they all start asking questions ect..

Your suppost to make your own topic, not trying to be mean guys.
Plus we can answer it alot quicker. Confusing...
