Here is my situation. My highschool does not offer wifi access. I get very bored in class and would like to bring my laptop or pda and use the internet. My house is 10km away from the school. The closest house i could place an antenna is my friend sean's who lives around 3km from the school. Is there any antenna I could use to amplfy the signal enough to reach my pda or laptop inside the building.

if you get very bored in class...maybe you need to talk to your teachers about getting into some advanced classes...not playing on the internet while youre at school...wasn't very long ago that i was in highschool myself....and the reason i was always bored was because the classes were to slow for me....got into some advanced classes...and all was fine....i know i'm gonna sound like some old granddad (i'm only 23 i promise)...but...if you're having fun in highschool...someone's doing something wrong....try paying attention instead of goofing off....i promise it pays off when you decide to go to college

Yeah if you do anything dont fart around on the internet get a book in your hand, i though no fault of my own couldnt take the extra classes i wanted in my final year of high school and basically spent my time farting around bored out my skull and not doing well in subjects that i found really easy, and the subject i didnt do well in was the one im doing my degree in ironically, so to quote me in my little aston notepad, STUDY FOOL!!!!, which i should go do now i have a chemistry exam at half 9 tommorow.

lol, would be better than me listening to music and playing red alert 2 and incoming on an old laptop in a commandeered lab specifically used for dossing around and making foam bombs from stuff we nicked out the chemistry store. foam bombs are great fun, more watching fun though we couldnt get them to explode less than very violently. Very nearly bagged ourselves some ducks for dinner once. Would have had swan if those things werent so smart.
