My mouse scroll wheel stopped working, i bought 2 new mouses... still the scroll doesn't work...

Anyone know what the problem is ?

I would download new drivers for the mouse, even if you have to reinstall the same drivers you already have. One time i needed to uninstall the drivers then reinstall them to get things working.

Mouse Scroll Problem

Give details of Mouse – and think about what [Updates] have you received or applied to PC – Try to set up mouse thru Control Panel] –

Do you have any documentation on [Mouse] – See what is suggested -

1 - See what you can do thru [Control Panel]
Open [Control Panel]:
1- Click [Start]
2- Highlight [Settings]
3- Click [Control Panel]

Open [Mouse] Folder – then click on [Scroll] Tab
___________________________________________________

2- See what you can do thru [Device Manager]
Open [Device Manager]:
1- Right Click [My Computer]
2- Click on [Properties]
3- Click on [Hardware] Tab
4- Click on [Device Manager]

3- Expand [Mice & other pointing devices]

1-Double click on [Mouse] Folder
2-Click on [Advance Settings] Folder
3-See what Scroll Setting is – adjust as necessary –

4- See what you may have under programs -
1- Click on [Start]
2- Highlight [Programs]
3- Browse [Programs] – for [Mouse Settings] –

It is a generic mouse from PC Club.

I popped in a linux(ubuntu) live cd, and the scroll worked with that OS, so it's not a faulty mouse.
