hello everyone

i just thought i would ask the linux pros what they thought about Xandros

I don't really see any mention to think of in here and I have been using it for quite a long time now. I have found it very "windows" friendly and easy to use. It is debian based and works seemlessly "out of the box" with your existing windows files and network. Installation was a snap. The only tough part is the limited wireless card compatibility, which seems resolved in most cases with ndiswrapper or driverloader.

I recommend it to anyone new wanting to try linux

I have my system set for a dual boot between Xandros and XP, unfortunately theres a known issue where the sound wont work on my machine with it, so I cant use it as my primary OS :tazz:

it is very pretty and easy to use though.

what system do you have? I have had two machines where i would have to mute and unmute the sound and then it was audible, although my via chipset (k8m400 or something) would not work no matter how hard i tried
