Do you mean streaming music? If so, the visitor would not need to download the music files. Here's a page expalining how to stream a video through the http method, not sure if it's what you want, it doesn't say anything about timing. http://www.mediacoll...eaming/http.htm
Also check out this page http://www.microsoft.../streaming.aspx I think to have real streaming music, you neeed to subscribe to a streaming service...

once option would be to do this with flash and set the music to the timline, using a date time function to direct the frames

another option, dedicate a computer in your house to be on all day. use windows media encoder for free from microsoft, and you can use that to stream music on a port on your ip address. the user would connect from the website by clicking a link, and would bring up wmplayer, and would hear your music in real time, everyone at the same time. because your comp is technically "broadcasting" the music and the other computers "connecting" to your comp.
i think this also can be done (probably better, but i dont know) with vlc media player. www.videolan.org
also, i dont know anything about podcasting, but that might be an answer if you look it up, i dont know the first thing about setting podcasting up for your own little "podcast station". but its worth a try to find out, maybe that would be a good way to do it.
