Hello,

I have a friend that saw a program on Television about changing your bios on your computer and I don't know the full details of why they were talking about changing them, but she changed her bios on her computer and now she can't get it to run out of safe mode. How do you change the bios back to the default settings?

Thank you,
Eyther

Hello Eyther...

You'll need to enter BIOS setup...restart the computer and, depending on the make of your machine, tap the F1 or Delete key during bootup. If you watch the bottom of the boot screen, it will tell you which key to press to "Enter Setup".

Once in BIOS look for the menu that tells you which keys to press for certain actions. On some BIOS versions the F5 key will set the BIOS to default, but it varies from version to version so you'll have to find it when you get in there.

Save the settings (usually by pressing F10) and exit BIOS. Restart the machine and see if it boots to Normal Mode.
