I'm from Singapore using a cable service provided by STARHUB. I'm currently using a WRT54G V2.2 router and WUSB54Gg v4 (wireless adapter to my desktop). My network is on WEP security and IP address is obtained automatically.
I'm running on Windows XP service pack 2, Athlon XP 2000+, 512 mb ram. I had installed all the recent drivers and firmware. However I still face frequent pc hang problem.
The wireless usb device turned off suddenly and my pc hangs at the same time irregardless of any program I'm running, even when my pc idles with the active connection. This can happen as frequent as 20 minutes interval. I had to give my pc a hard reset to start up again. Sometimes a window will pop out during the restart stating an error with Win32 Service. Please help me solve this problem asap as this problem hinders me from working online. Thanks.

I'll be most happy to provide any extra information needed to solve this problem.

I was having a similar problem, (different model of Linksys router) I too, downloaded the firmwear and still had the problem. I had my router on top of my Modem, on top of my tower. I moved the router away from the modem and tower, just on the floor next to the tower, and things have been great. I don't know if this has any bearing on the problem, but at things are working.

start > run, type
eventvwr.msc
<enter>

Look under systems and applications for items with red Xs that happened at the SAME time as your problem...list them here.
