I've come across some nasty spyware that hides itself in many places and it comes back when I reboot. Is there a program out there that will track and log the actions of every program that starts on a computer?

Is there any other advice you folks can offer to help out with this?

I don't know a program that would do such a thing but I would suggest posting a hijack this log in the malware forum and clean your computer up. I would then install zonelab firewall and everything that tries to install through the internet will need your permission to do so. Sorry I don't have the exact answer you wanted but I hope this helps.
