Have Win XP and believe it has gotten a virus which disables it.
Any suggestions?

Norton had been disabled by an infection but I was able to go to Trendhouse call and run the program which enabled my task manager as well as cleaned up many problems. But, it looks like I'll have to re-install Norton as it keeps telling me that it's missing a .dll....

Murray,
After I ran all the spyware removal programs and Trend HouseCall, I was able to uninstall Norton 2005 and re-install the Norton and everything is working fine now.
