I am trying to work out which of these three would be best on my computer. At the moment I am using the firewall that comes with Windows XP but don't feel it's doing the job. I have BitDefender antivirus, adaware and Microsoft Spyware and would like to know if any of the three firewalls would cause conflicts?
Thanks in advance.

I would choose sygate over the other two. Also, the firewall for Windows XP (ICF) Internet Connection Firewall doesn't have any outbound security. I have read before of people having promblems with ZA with programs conflicting, making OS crash on other forums.

I am using the firewall that comes with Windows XP but don't feel it's doing the job.

How often do you monitor the log file? To see what ports your firewall has open issue this command in the command prompt.

netsh firewall show portopening

example from my PC.
