i'm back..AGAIN. Whenever I open up IE and go to a website it changes to "horseserver.net" asking if i want to download p*** (lovely!). I click no and it automatically changes to "klikfeed.com". I ran nortons antivirus and adaware. Adaware came back with "Blazefind" "TIB Browser" and "IEHijacker.Heretofind".
thanks.

Hi Hopeless,

Didnt I just see your name recently somewhere? :tazz:

upgrade your service Pack to SP2 after we get you all fixed up!
Ok, I am having a look at your log, hang on in there and I will get back to you with my suggestions. 1 point tho, it would be helpful when you post to include "where" the nasty guy is as well as tell us you found one, it could make a lot of difference sometimes.

hang in there help is on the way buddy!

Reload your O/S.!!!!!!,all you will accomplish with this "hijack this" crap is a wasted day ! I was having the same problem as you, and now my computer is like new, but I still have most of the good files I was affraid of loosing. Just insert your o/s cd , reboot, and follow the instructions. It will take about an hour and you will love the results! A much faster computer will be your reward!!!

rokhedjo... we appreciate the advice, but we try to avoid formatting here :tazz:

Ok HopelessRomantic,

Close ALL open windows so that HijackThis is the only thing open.
Place A checkmark next to these entries and let HijackThis "Fix":

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {0F9561D0-03B2-44a3-89A6-E95E417CBA25} - C:\WINNT\cerbmod.dll
O2 - BHO: Explorer Class - {962F12AE-2773-4BEB-99EA-B5C3AB9A6606} - C:\WINNT\System32\DSMANA~1.DLL
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Ethl] C:\Documents and Settings\a man duh\Application Data\ebro.exe
O16 - DPF: {084F552D-19EB-4668-9788-984CBC781A8F} (AsyncDownloader Class) - http://survey.otxres...m/Preloader.dll
O21 - SSODL: NTWSMON - {66395F51-576A-45D7-BD9F-B7202C77059C} - C:\WINNT\System32\tooliadv.dll

Now lets reboot into safe mode by:
Start--Turn Off Computer--Restart
slowly and steadily start tapping the F8 key until you see the advanced Menu Screen, choose "Safe Mode" from the Menu using the up and down arrows to navigate.

Now enable all Files and Folders to be seen like this:

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Navigate to and delete these items:
C:\WINNT\cerbmod.dll
C:\WINNT\System32\DSMANA~1.DLL
C:\WINNT\System32\tmpf00.exe
C:\WINNT\System32\tooliadv.dll
C:\Documents and Settings\a man duh\Application Data\ebro.exe

C:\Documents and Settings\a man duh
<-- check this folder Do you know of it, if its not yours then delete it.

Restart your computer so you are back in normal mode.

Lets get you all cleaned up with regards to your Temp files as they are primary targets for this type of infection. Download and run this CleanUp please, it will clean all your Temp Folders for you.

Reboot into normal mode and repost a new log for us to examine please!

sorry, i never replied. The p*** thing is back :tazz: I'm not sure i understand what you mean by "path", but im gonna post my logfile from adaware along with my hijackthis log if that helps at all.

a quick question - 3 other people use this computer and we all have different names that we go under. would i need to use hijackthis under each name if the problem still isn't solved?.
