CS:S freezing

everytime i alt + tab back into CS:S the game freezes then the standard windwos error msg comes up : would u like to send to windows or close...

comp specs are :
amd 3700+
OCZ 512m X 2 dual channel = 1gig of ram
asus A8V SE
250 maxtor hard drive

I don't think this is actually a problem, any time I minimize and alt-tabbing back in, it shuts down, or looses connection from the server. Solution: Don't minimize, or if you have to, leave the game first.
