I know I've had this happen a long time ago. All of a sudden the display goes back to a 640 x 480
When I go into Control Panel, Display, Settings I can move the slider, change the color settings,
whatever...Apply, Restart and it just goes back to the 640 x 480! Aslo the background pattern seems
seems to have changed as well. I just can't remember what I did last time! Grrrr. HELP Ken J.

Usually means you lost the drivers for the display adapter. Right click on My Computer, choose device Manager, expand display adapter and try reinstalling the drivers. Since I don't know the specs of your machine I can't tell you how to go about it, or what the drivers are.
