Help! My computer will only start in safe mode

Every time I start my computer it goes to a black and white screen and tells me I need to select either Safe Mode, command prompt or normal mode. Each time I try the normal mode the computer reboots and the same screen comes up. I have to choose safe mode to get on my computer and I don't know where to look for the problem.

I have tried restoring to a previous day, but it doesn't seem to help.

I would appreciate any help!

Hi and welcome go Geeks to Go. Do you have a windows install cd? You could try a repair install. See the guide at http://www.geekstogo...ws-XP-t138.html.
