Computer Stuttering

I too have the computer suttering issue. I have tried the Prime95 torture test with no issues. I happened across this problem when one of my SATA drives failed. I purchased a WD 500GB SATAII drive that I had to downgrade for SATA compatibilty due to my MOBO. Even from the fresh Windows XP Pro install I have had the stutter. Not sure what to do. Temps and voltages also look good. Any ideas? Thanks.
