I've already had loads of help from your website on downloading various spyware removal programs, so thanks for that already.

I've gradually been removing a variety of spyware etc which must have got in when I first connected to the internet last week (even though I'd had the computer for over a year, so I think the Windows defences were out of date!).
Anyway, I'm posting my hijack log below and would appreciate advice on how far away I am from a clean log. I'm still not sure whether the wauclt.exe and associated wsmct.exe is somthing I should be worrying about, I think it is because my internet speeds up whenever I disable wsmct.exe but I can't get it to disappear permanently.

Two other questions if I may.
1. I have mistakenly ended up installing Norton and Sophos at the same time and I now realise they don't get on well together. I want to uninstall them both and then reinstall SOPHOS (which I get from work for free). But I can't uninstall them from Control Panel.
2.I used to have a problem with Firedaemon.exe error messages but I've now disabled that at the Services list. Is there any way of removing Firedaemon permanently?
