cannot open. safe mode stays on no matter what keys are pushed. the screen stays black. the light is on in the front. powerbook g4

Hi,

As far as I know, Macs do not have a safe mode. What OS are you running? Also, what do you mean by you cannot open? What can't you open. Any info related to the system will be very helpful in solving your problem. Please post back with system specs and the exact problem. Please be as specific as possible. Thanks. Thank you so much for replying. My son came home and was able to take care of the problem. (which I don't really understand). I'm new to mac's and may have used the wrong terminology. thanks again.
