This is the first time I have ever posted a blog on any topic at all. But this website was of such great benefit I had to let others know about it.Last week I Googled this web site because I was having so many issues with my old computer. (Gateway Pentium II 350, Win 98). It was so loaded up with junk running in the background that it was running out of resources merely clicking on something.
I had a copy of SpyBot and ran it. It found nearly everything I had (or so I thought) running in the background. Problem was, it couldn't deal with it. After running a full scan it would identify then isolate the malware that had infected my system, but it was incapable of deleting it. Norton utilities couldn't see any of this stuff. I downloaded a copy of "Spy Sweeper" and it was very good at finding all of the malware, but it too was limited in its ability to deal with it. After a frustrating week of trying to get it to function properly, I was ready to pull out what was remaining of my already thin hair when in desperation I googled the messages I was getting and the name of the particular Trojan horse I had that was really fouling up my system (Bookedspace). I saw a list of topics and clicked on Geeks-to-Go.
I found the site extremely enlightening, and very helpful. I reviewed the different solution options that were available and wound up trying the free trial of "Spyware Detector".
This program truly has to be one of the most amazing and effective
programs I have ever gotten my mitts on. This thing went in there and isolated everything I had on my system and found everything the other 2 programs I used previously did PLUS an additional 41 more that the other two couldn't find. Then it actually was able to get them out!! I was so impressed I bought it on the spot. Now I can boot up the computer without any error messages. If you CTRL+ALT DEL you will only find running what's supposed to be running and nothing else. It was by far the best thing I ever did for my computer as far as security. I Highly Recommend this program if you are having troubles with malware. I would give it 5 stars!!!!Many thanks to Geeks-to-Go for their site.
