Recently a 'refugee' from N.O. living with us had WiFi installed at our home so she could use her businress laptop. Now, every time we want to use our standard cable connected computer, we have to re-start everything.
How do we run both or how do we 'kill' the WiFi?

think we need more info on how this was setup. I assume the person installed a wireless router? Did you already have a router and did they insert it in between?

The wireless router should probably set up as a wireless access point and allow your old router to do all routing and ip address management.

To be certain, we need more details
