Problems with starting up XP

When I turn my computer on its starts loading up everything normaly. But all of a sudden it just cuts out and resets. I have tried it in safemode, but still the same thing happens.

Any ideas?

basic troubleshooting...

What were you doing before this happened?

Do you have a Windows CD? Load using the windows CD into the recovery console by booting with the CD and pressing R when prompted.

Run
chkdsk /r
<enter>

see if it finds and repairs errors
