I HAVE IE 6 UPDATED on XP PRO LAPTOP 512mb when I type a URL in the address bar & click the window closes!!!!

Sounds like you have malware. First have you tried resintalling IE6? Also do a scan and read this: http://www.geekstogo...-Log-t2852.html

If all else fails, post a hijackthis log in the malware forum.
