im getting [bleep] loads of problems when trying to play call of duty 2
1st this message come up when i try to play

WIN_ERROR
Error during initilization:
Couldnt load default_mp.cfg. Make sure Call of Duty is run from the correct folder.

right.. so ive uninstaleld the game .. completley removed everything to do with the game, now when this bit appears at the start of it

C:\... \Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_00.iwd

it just freezes .... then the entire comp freezes for 5 mins then i get this
1628: Failed to complete installation
help would be unbelivably appreciated i f00kin need it!!

i have played this game with no problems for a month so im really confused

Try checking your harddrive available space and restart the pc.

Check how manys thing you have running in the taskbar.


"D:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2\cod2 is the exact location to where my game is installed. I have 2 harddrives thats why it says D:\

try what I said. If you installed the game and it shows no game folder then the pc is probably administered or blocking you from installing..

that link i posted is suppost to get it to work. If not, you probably arent allowed to play or install the game for some reason.

If it is to get around the administer, Im not suppost to say anymore about it because you are trying to do something you arent suppost to.

well this time it got to install then freezes on the 1st bit for 10 mins

We are busy folks and researching problems installing a game is less important than people who have computers that are actually broken.

You may be the only one on the computer but is your the administratot account, also you might want to contact Activisions spport, its pretty good and they know how to fix the game better than we do.
