Steve,

Please wait until you have the all-clear from the Malware Removalists; if you're still having problems, then let me know.

Thanks,
Dan.

Dan,

Buckeye_Sam at the Malware Forum helped me remove the Jamey.exe virus from my computers. Everything is working now.

Thanks for your help.

This is a super site! I am recommending it to everyone I know.

C:\WINNT\System32\Lavan\Kahol.exe:\devcheck.exe
C:\WINNT\System32\Lavan\Kahol.exe:\lock.bat
C:\WINNT\System32\Lavan\Kahol.exe
C:\WINNT\System32\Lavan\lock.bat

You have been hacked, someone is accessing your computer and installing this virus.

i have the same problem

what you need is a good router with a firewall that can block mirc & possibly other ports as well or you can put an admin password in your admin account, since i put in an admin password i have had no problems.

the only problem you may have is if you are running a web server

also mcafee antivirus does block it as soon as it is installed onto target machine, thats very handy because it limits the damage.

Thanks,

My router has a firewall but I have a question about the password. If my computer is already on, how will a password keep someone from accessing it? Isn't a password only for when you start up the computer?

I also looked up password in Windows Help and there are a lot of articles that I don't understand. Is there an easy way to set up a password that will keep someone from hacking my computer?
