my cdrom wont work, its plugged in, the bus cable is in tightly, i got power in it, but theres no icon for it, and it doesnt read my cds. i might of plugged in the bus cable wrong, so could some1 help me? and i have tryed other cdroms

Normally (but not always) the cable will have a little lug so it can only plug in 1 way. If there is no lug turn the cable around the other way on the cd end if this does not work then turn the cable around on the motherboard end.

Are you plugging the cable into IDE2 ? Has your bios been set to see a cdrom?
Have you had this working before or is it a new addition?
