Hi

I am attempting to rid my mother's computer of some serious problems. Internet Explorer and Outlook do not work. A dialogue box appears frequently that says "***.exe failed. Please contact software supplier" The *** indicates there a number of file names that appear here. I am pretty sure it is something with the registry and not the individual software packages because I uninstalled and reinstalled them. A consequence of this is that I have "lost" any emails she had saved in Outlook.

I have followed all the instructions on "You Must Read This Before Posting a Hijackthis Log". However Spybot was unable to remove one thing, despite repeated attempts and AVG would not install and similar dialogue boxes as mentioned above appeared.

I appreciate any advice given.

I am confused as to why I have not had replies. Plenty of problems posted around the same time as mine or much more recently have received multiple replies. Is there anything more I can do to get help? :tazz:
