Okay like i said i hate Linux and there is also a big problem, my friend lent me the linux disk as i didn't have windows at the present time, to my amazment i found it wasn't for me bassicly! Cause all the software is for Microsoft and i couldn't even install my beta version modem.I first tried to uninstall it, yet i couldn't, so i brought windows home eddition for it, when loaded in the disk drive it got stuck on hardware config. I than found that I had 2 screens so i tried linking them up through linux, and thats my big problem. Now when i switch my computer on one screen is like dead, and the other is imposible to see the picture. I think that I set the screens wrong, but i still blame linux, is there any way to deleate linux completely!!! My mate now has lost his version (or wont lend it to me cause im anti-linux)

CAN ANY ONE HELP ME!!! IS THERE A VIRUS???? :tazz:

first of all, you should have already known that a lot of software is not compatable with linux. If you had known that, then you could have easily bypassed that because there are many ways to run windows programs on linux.

If you want to get rid of linux completely, reformat. That's basically how to get rid of any operating system on a computer.

If you loaded Linux, then I suspect you created a disk partition for it, perhaps more than one. Windoze can have a problem with this as it is a type which it does not know about. You need to delete the partition (in the past you could use fdisk, but that has changed).

You could download DSL OS or Knoppix (both Linux) which can boot from a CD (I would like to see Wiindoze do that!!!), then use one of the disk partition programs to remove the partitions (fdisk, sfdisk, qtparted, etc.). With fdisk, the command line would be "fdisk /dev/hda". qtparted is a bit smarter and detects the drives and lets you select.

BTW, if Windoze was so good then you would be able to just load it and it would ask you if you wanted to remove the partitions and repartion :-).

Meh....just read up on linux it's 1000x better.
Who needs MS software. There's almost always a free equivilant...
Photoshop=Gimp
AIM=GAIM, ICQ i think is linux compatible
Word=Jeez there's thousands...
PowerPoint=Who cares its crap, get Flash if you want a real professional presentation thing

And if you really want to be able to use your microsuck stuff too (like I'm forced to do), just install Windows first and buy one of the gabillion repartitioning programs online for like ten bucks, make two new hard drive partitions, one that's maybe 1 GB over however large your Linux OS file is (so if your Linux OS is 10 GB make the partition 11 GB) and then the other partition make it pretty big, like 50 or 60 GB if you can and just store all of your stuff there for either OS to access. I don't exactly know how to set up that shared partition, since I have a separate Windows and Linux computer, but my friend has it like that and he said it wasn't hard at all.

You need not buy any repartitioning program since several comes with Linux (ie. fdisk, sfdisk, qtparted, etc. No all come with all versions of Linux, but there will be at least one that does). You can also use the Windoze disk management to partition the disk, but can not set the correct partition type.
