Is the software you see sold on eBay, that comes with no box or manual, legitimate?
Some of it, or none of it? I wonder where the sellers get it from? Anyone have some insider knowledge of this?

Some of it is genuine, OEM software usually doesn't come with boxes or manuals.

Some sellers are just genuinely selling on the software that they don't use anymore, the user agreement usually allows them to do this as liong as they don't keep a copy themselves.

With eBay though, you pays your money and you takes your chances.

if you read the news, some guy was busted by the FBI for pirating Windows XP and selling them on ebay. Remember to look at the sellers' ratings and be read the fine print.

Feedback can mean little; there are auctions where you can "buy" feedback. So its not all its cracked up to be.

General rule of thumb: If in doubt, don't buy.

personally i find that software in spacific is hard to come by expecially what the price is. Whether is illegal software of just plain old unusable quite a bit of it is junk and then there a a very few good buys. Remeber you get what you pay for!
thanx
