please help! i get an SCSI pop up everytime i start the computer

Hi everyone,

Merry Christmas.

I am a ameture computer user, please help me solve this problem

my laptop is a sony vaio
system:
microsoft windows XP
home edition
version 2002
service pack 2

problem description:

I tried installing dameon tools, then my laptop went crazy and a blue screen came out and the laptop restarted automaticaly. now everytime i restart the windows I get a "Found new Hardware wizard" trying to install software for
ST3WOLF SCSI Controller.
the search for updates does not find any results!!!
please help me out, I'd really appreciate your help

did you have the previous verison 3.47 installed and then installed the 4.0 version on top of it?

I should add....remove both, then reinstall

No it was the first time that I install dameon tools on my new laptop. I immediately unintalled it after I got the error.

BTW when I bought the sony Vaio, I did not get a copy of the windows XP, so I can't just remove and reinstall anything I want. However, there is an installed Vaio recovery wizard which bring back the laptop to an out of box state. If I format the computer i would lose all my work.

Re: your other thread.

Try this first.

Re-install daemon-tools, then remove it again using the add/remove applet in control panel

same old problem still there after re-installing then uninstalling.
