Hi,

The three options for graphics on counter strike are:

"D3D"
"Software mode"
"OpenGL"

I was using D3D because OpenGL wouldn't work (it would change my graphics to "software" instead) and Software mode was just awful graphics.

My friend has an identical computer (I have windows XP pro on a dell computer btw) and he's managed to get OpenGL mode working, I prefer the graphics, speed and general looks it has and my D3D mode seems to be faulty, i've re-installed CS many times, no luck.

Anyway, my friend got his OpenGL mode working by putting a weirdly named file in his WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder.

I got the file and put it in, my OpenGL mode started loading, YAY!

But then it just froze...

I no longer get the "Video mode is not supported" message for OpenGL but it doesn't work because it freezes while loading CS.

Can anyone please help me get OpenGL mode working?

Thanks,
Dom
