Downloading problems error messages

Everytime I download anything and I get to open it I am getting and error message ex. FamilyFeud.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. sorry for the inconvenience.

See how you get on with this

To delete the game file, do the following:

Select View from IE's toolbar (in IE 5 select Tools instead).

Select Internet Options.

Select the General tab.

In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Settings.

Click View Objects.

Click on the file(s) you want to delete (Yahoo! Chess, for example).

Select File-->Remove Program File.

Select Yes to confirm.

I did that and none of the games that I have been trying to download are not in there. Is there something I am missing>

no I have been trying to download from msn games and yahoo games and it is doing this

yeah i checked those i downloaded flash already and I will try downloading shockwave but jeopardy just says it requires flash

I downloaded and played it, there was nothing added to downloaded program files
