Hi there.

I am looking to improve the performance of my pc by disabling unnecessary background programs that you can find in services.msc.

I used to use this website, http://www.blkviper..../servicecfg.htm, which has been down for many months now. The information that used to be contained there included detailed descriptions and practical explanations of the uses for each item found in services.msc.

If I read the individual item descriptions, they all sound fairly important and there are many I simply do not understand practical uses for. I have searched the geekstogo website multiple times and have not found anything thorough on the subject.

Is anyone aware of a site that has an thorough explanation of the processes that can be found in services.msc or is there a resource on this site that goes into detail on these issues?

Thank you.
