Cant open my system file even .exe and control panel programs

hello! can someone help me plz, i cant open my system file, even .exe file, cant do add/remove program and also doing config using run on start command. it started when i inserted cd. can someone pls help me with this problem, ive been researching on my problem and found nothing.

Click start then run, type sfc /scannow then press enter to replace the system files, you need the XP CD.

System File Check will show an on screen blue progress bar, reboot when the bar goes


You may need to click start then all programmes, accessories, command prompt to run it

Thanks Keith but as i've said all the commands/programs doesn't work, like run command it doesn't work, anyways i already restored all my registry and its now working well, good as new. i thought il be going to reformat/reinstall my computer, whew! now i dont need to.

You can repair XP if you cannot get command prompt to work, it is unusual for it not to run from accessories
