I am trying to install a slave HD on my desktop pc, I have the pins on slave according to the diagram on the HD, and got the cables plugged in. When I loaded my pc, it picked up the HD and installed the files for it, but when I go to My Computer, its not there to be accessed. According to Device Manager, the HD is installed and useable. Any ideas? The hard drive is "Samsung sp1604n".

You need to partition the disk and create a filesystem. You need to use the disk management tool in order to do so.
