(Hope this is the right place to post this) :tazz:

If, for any reason, you're using NetZero dialup, you'll run into times when it changes from slow to almost dead stop. (Especially when you first use it, if you didn't install from a cd)
Netzero will periodically auto download commercials to your system which run whilst you're waiting to get connected.
Annoying, plus the aforementioned major slowdown.

They won't stop it from thier end. But you can from yours.

Go to where netzero is installed on your system.

There'll be a subfolder/directory named basket

In it, you'll find one or more goofy named files. Thaty's where they store the commercials.

Using any editor, open the file(s) and cut out everything.

Then make the file(s) read only.

Like:

attrib filename.ext +r

Netzero can no longer download, and you get rid of those annoying ads.

If you do this when you first install, they *might* add another file. Simply repeat the process.
