Colin McRae Rally 05 problems

Hi again all, back with yet another problem

I have a 7800GTX and rest of PC spec is below this text

I got Colin McRae Rally 05 and I got all the updates for Windows, Graphics card and a version 1.1 patch for the game and theres really nothing at all wrong with the graphics in the game but it goes from normal speed in the game to slow and times and for a second really slow (sometimes, just at ramdom), I mean I have a good spec PC and all the updates I can think of why would this game run slow?
