i tried lol it has something to do with the verbatims security thingy that comes with the flash drive

I assume you used Verbatims V-Safe utility to create the private storage area, right?
In which case you need to go to the v-safe settings window & click format. Enter your password then resize the privacy zone section of the flash stick to zero percent. This should get rid of the privacy zone & recover the lost space.
Be warned of course that you will lose any data stored inside the privacy zone.

when i run v safe it says please insert store n play or run as a privalaged user i kinda messed it up badly
