When I used a registry cleaner it screwed up my Toshiba Power Saver. Now every time I log on I get this annoying message:

Posted Image

I can't uninstall it as the uninstall file is missing.

I'd like to either stop this message coming up or to reinstall the power saver.

I have a Toshiba SA40-231 laptop.

ADDITIONAL:

I downloaded the files from Toshiba but I get this error message when I click on Setup.

Any suggestions?

UPDATE:

I have fixed my problem.

I followed steps 1-5 HERE and it corrected the problem with the setup file.

Hi there,

I have a similar problem resulting with the Toshiba Power Saver. I try reinstalling the driver and near the end of installation a message pops up:

C:\PROGRA~1\Symantec\S32EVNT1.DLL. An installable Virtual Device Driver failed Dll initialization. Choose ‘Close’ to terminate the application.

I followed Sean McC's update with a link to: http://support.micro...7&Product=winxp

But as my Windows XP Home came pre-installed on my Toshiba M50 notebook, I do not have the Windows XP installation disc and cannot fix the problem. :tazz:

Is there any way around this? :)

Thanks for your time, Mriceguy.
