Cod 2 multiplayer problem

ok heres the problem... I go and open cod2 multi player and join a server and i start to play but then within a few minutes the game closes and goes to my desktop. An error message comes up saying something like this... cod2mp_s.exe corrupted or something... anyone know how to get this working properly... my single player works fine so its not my graphics card or anything like that..
I would very much like some help with my problem :tazz:
