This computer used to be connected to the internet through a wireless network however for the last few months I have been using it in a different city and had to buy a network card and connect it directly to a university network. Now I have brought it back home and am back on the wireless network again. Firefox and other applications work fine on the internet but IE is unable to detect a connection. MSN doesn't work either. I don't understand how to go about fixing this. Sorry if this is an obvious question.

start > control panel > internet options

Go to CONNECTIONS tab, choose NEVRE DIAL A CONNECTION, then LAN SETTINGS button.

Uncheck everything. OK OK then try.
