Buying music using an iTunes allowance, gift certificate, or prepaid card
If you've received an iTunes allowance, gift certificate, or prepaid card, you can use it to buy music or spoken word content from the iTunes Music Store.

Note: You can only use a gift certificate in the iTunes Music Store for the same country in which the certificate was purchased.

To use an iTunes gift certificate or prepaid card, click Music Store in the Source list, then click Gift Certificate or Prepaid Cards, and follow the onscreen instructions.

If you don't already have an Apple or AOL account, you'll need to create one before you can redeem the certificate or prepaid card. You do not need to enter credit card information if you wish to only redeem the certificate or prepaid card.

To use an allowance, select Music Store in the Source list, then sign in to the store by clicking the Account button in the upper-right corner.

The amount in your account appears to the right of your account name. As you make music purchases (by clicking a Buy button), the amount changes to show how much money you have left to spend.
