My dad has got me working on a small home network. We have a wireless router by Netgear. I have installed the drivers onto the computers, and it is hooked up, but where do I go from there? How can I get the two computers to begin speaking to each other so I can share their info?

There should be a Netgear setup wizard that helps you set up the shared network connection on the computer connected to the Internet, and then creates a floppy drive to transfer these settings to the other computer.

Sure you can run the wizards but I think they get in your way...


Make sure that your computers have in the TCP/IP properties... File and Print Sharing, Client For Microsoft Networks Installed, and TCP/IP. Make sure the workgroup name is the same usually the default is MSHOME or WORKGROUP.
