Hello, I am having problems with my sound card. It will play the Windows sounds, like when you open and minimize pages, it even plays sound when you play a movie, but when you try to play any other sound, it won't play, like when you go to an animated page online that has sound.

I went into control panel, and it doesn't even recognize the sound card. I tried uninstalling the drivers, and then reinstalling, I even tried a new sound card, and it will only recognize the card for a few seconds, then it disappears from the list. Even switching to a new pci slot did not help.

All I see in control panel for sound is "Modem #00 Line"

Also, when I check the sound card in Device Manager, it says the device is working properly.

Any help would be apprciated. Thanks.
