How do i use nero to copy dvds?

Desktop-ordered-dell-is this # neccesary and where is it at?-i am trying to backup a couple dvds that have been badly scratched like matrix 2 and about 4 others. but the thing is it keeps asking for dvd-rw dics and i dont know how to write it to r discs but it says it can use r discs on the box. im maily stuck there.

Are you having this problem with Nero asking you for DVD-RW disks? Or is this a WinXP prompt?
I never backup up a DVD using an ISO image... if I understood your original post.

DVD-RW disks.-would an iso work to be copied on a dvd disc?

If you look at those files, only the largest one has video and you can burn those as MPEG but you will need to make them an ISO image if you want to do it your way

Right click the folder which has those files, click explore then it will show you the same files you listed, at the top, change the view to details from thumbnails then the biggest ones for each, eg VTS_01 will be the one which is the video

Keith, since he has DVD Shrink, I can just give him directions for that if you want me to. It takes an entire DVD and makes a copy of it. Just let me know.
