Hey all,

I am an expierienced builder but unfortunately, I am indecisive. I need your help. My good build was taken by my mom, so I have been using an old computer. I am a gamer and I need a budget upgrade under $700. What I need are these parts...

RAM - I have 768 MB of Value RAM. Add what you feel would make this thing last for 6 months tops.

Case - My case is ugly and loud. I need good looking and quiet.

Video Card - Coming from a GeForce 5700 FX LE. I want a higher end card, preferably nVidia but your choice.

CPU - Coming from a 1.6 GHz P4 overclocked to 2 GHz. Would like an AMD Athlon64.

Motherboard - Dell motherboard.... I DO NOT need SLI or CrossFire. I want it to be good and reliable, Asus, MSI (what ever you choose)

Budget is $700. Please search for the Best Deals. I really want to be able to play F.E.A.R. and other games with no lag.

THANK YOU

These parts came out to be around $642 at the time I posted.

Good deal on that stuff and I dont choose cheap stuff. All high quality parts in there even the motherboard is high quality. About the ram I chose 1gb of corsair ram because you said you had more maybe you can use your old with the new if you wanted.

You didnt post a harddrive so I didnt post one. :tazz:

Should I get a better video card, XMS mem instead of VS, 3500+ Venice instead of 3200+ Venice, or better case????

Your case look good to me. I would prolly get XMS instead of VS. And definitely not the 3500+ since 3200+ can play all games very good and u can overclock it to 3500+ speeds easily.
