I am sure that this problem has been addressed many Times so I will say sorry for the repeat in advance and hope that I can be helped.
A few days ago my husbands Internet Explorer on his computer stopped allowing him to open up any new windows within the browser.Please note that he himself would be posting here but as I said he connot open any new windows within his browser.So I am on my computer posting here for him. I have downloaded and sent to his computer the program HiJack This and I have run it and have a Log to post here.Also Here is his computer specs.

There is an IE Connections Tab Settings. Just look at all and set them the way you want. It mainly shows you what the current settings are and some may have changed for some reason.

Noticed you said SP 1, but if you have been doing automatic updates, you may already have a lot, if not all, of SP2 installed by now. This greatly affects Win XP's default security settings for the firewall and IE.

Thank you for the reply .I have taken your advice and did some checking into tweakining the PC.did some other things as well,like,Downloaded Adaware SE it did indeed clean up a bunch of things still in the comp,but still did not correct the problem.I also downloaded shredder as well .it showed no problems as far as coolwebsearch goes.I can tell you that the Auto update has always been turned off so I am very sure that there is no sp2.I just like to have control over what goes in my computer,I only wish I could get a better grip on it at times. Once again thank you very much for the help as I do always try things at least once.
