Updating iPod Unknown error (-69(

After downloading some CD's onto my laptop, I attempted to update the iPod with the new songs. After successfully updating some songs, the update stopped with an error message "Transfer to Tennille CL failed. An unknown error (-69) occured." The iPod could not be updated from then on. Even after deleting the offending CD, the same error occured on the next one. The iPod has had all the recent software updates on it. Any help would be appreciated.
