Hi all and thanks for all the great help you guys have given me. You have wonderful site!

As the topic suggests i have a friend whose computer is pretty infected. I have run adware se 1.06, set him up with SP2, and run spybot on his computer. The computer still acts funny and it is not finding much besides tracking cookies. The tricky part is my friend does not have internet (his parents turned off dsl when he went to college) so i cannot run online virus scans or post HJT logs unless i save them to my thumbdrive and post from my house.

Do you think it would be easier just to backup his important files (only music, hes an audiophile) and reformat? Rather than try to do hijack this logs and post them on the internet via my computer?

Thanks for all your help!

PS: He has a dell but does not have the original disks and doesnt have a recovery partition on his HD. Can these disks be downloaded via Dell's website?
