Outlook 2003. Freezing

I do some troubleshooting for a client and she just got a new computer which I recently set up.

I have install MS Office 2003 it worked fine. Then the other day I tried to install WINFax Pro. Ran into some issues with it not dialing out when sending a fax, but that got sorted out. I also tried to install her blackberry and sync it with Outlook. Now though, when she tries to open Outlook it freezes up as it does the intital check for new emails.

How do I fix this?
